The participant recalls meeting the president to receive his father's medal, he remembers the publicity and humor of sharing a private moment with President Obama. Inspired by his father, the participant travels around the world to share his father's story. So few recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor have been members of the Air Force so the participant's mother had few people that she may have been able to talk with about the experience.
