The Library Instruction West 2016 conference was held on June 8–10 at the University of Utah and Westminster College. The concept of library instruction—how people use libraries to find information—was discussed at this conference through subjects such as online learning, helping students utilize sources, real-world research, connecting libraries with pedagogical practices, and enhancing information literacy, reading skills, a patron’s experience, etc. Like the year’s theme, Learning Elevated, the Library Instruction West 2016 conference worked to elevate the learning of librarians in order to help them, in turn, elevate the learning of library patrons.
