Physical, visual and theatrical, Trailer is a piece in which embraces the Americana inherent in Sam Shepard’s plays: the wide-open roads, deserted motels and seedy bars. A man and woman, stuck in their trailer, swept by the heat and dust of the relentless winds rolling off the endless mid-Western plains; they fight, argue, struggle to connect as they wrestle with their dreams...the All American Rock Star...the Perfect Home-Maker...the Happy Couple...Bound by the walls, their own insecurities and by the cloying restlessness of their relationship, they strive desperately to find way out, a way to realise their fantasies, to escape from the tyranny of themselves and each other. Working with a highly-developed physicality, a haunting soundtrack and superb projection of live animation, Indian Runner evoke an intense world, charged with emotion and stifled desire.

This brand new uplifting and thought-provoking circus show takes audiences on a journey through cosmopolitan London from four different viewpoints. Using acrobatics, aerial work and juggling the characters collide and cross-over revealing Londoners’ emotional and personal relationships with the capital, set against the familiar backdrop of city sounds. Employing original and innovative circus techniques including the Chinese pole and the collectives’ own unique duo double cloud, Like the rain when it stops promises to be a cleverly choreographed, playful, amusing and entertaining glimpse into city life.

In the summer of 1990, 22 year old Christopher McCandless left a suburban middleclass society, changed his name and set forth into the wilderness. Following this two year adventure through America, leading to his death in an old abandoned bus amongst the deserted, bitter cold landscape of Alaska. This work is devised from research, literature and interviews with the people closest to McCandless. BA Theatre Practice and BA Acting for Collaborative and Devised Theatre (2nd years) tell this story of discovery: the journey of a man obsessed with nature and willing to leave everything behind in his quest to be Alexander Supertramp.
