Abstract

A table showing the tolerance of most of the important trees of the United States was prepared by Zon and Graves in 1911, and has been reprinted since. A revision after 40 years of experience seems desirable. In canvassing opinion, a number of interesting points developed which suggested a little philosophizing on the whole matter of tolerance.
