Studies to investigate insect species visiting stone fruit bloom, their abundance, pollinating efficiency and daily rhythm were undertaken in Himachal Pradesh. Of the ten species visiting peach (Prunus persica L.), plum (Prunus domestica L.), and almond (Prunus amygadalus Bartsch L.) blossom, honey bee was found to be predominant. Peach blossom attracted a maximum of 70.33 bees/branch/ ten minutes. Pollinator activity was noticed from 0900-1600 hr. Honey bees visited maximum flowers of plum/minute followed by peach and almond.
