This project aims to further understand the current public perception of UAS and their integration into residential areas for package delivery through the development of vertiports The survey also aims to identify evidence of NIMBY (not in my backyard) in these perceptions. The survey specifically asked participants about demographics, familiarity with UAV, perceptions of UAV, and perceptions of vertiports through 6 different potential vertiport placements in residential of community center focused areas. The survey was developed and launched through Qualtrics. 209 participants completed the survey, with 9 being removed due to failing verification questions. All anonymized 200 survey results are included in the .csv. Some potentially identifiable data such as free response answers have been removed. Ages have been rounded to the nearest 5 value. Full data may be made available upon request. Questions 54, 23, 28, 33, 41, 46, 53, 57, and 58 are all scored on a 5 point scale with matching terms, Generally, The less welcoming the lower the score between 1 and 5. Terms: 1: "Extremely concerned", "Not at all useful", "A great deal", "Extremely inappropriate". 2: "Slightly beneficial", "Somewhat concerned", "A lot", "Somewhat inappropriate". 3: "Moderately beneficial", "Neither comfortable nor concerned", "A moderate amount", "Neither appropriate nor inappropriate". 4: "Very beneficial", "Somewhat comfortable", "A little", "Somewhat appropriate" 5: "Extremely beneficial", "Extremely comfortable", "None at all", "Extremely appropriate".
