Latest revision: 24 July 2019 by Seth Lyman These are example videos collected during a hydrocarbon emissions survey of oil and gas well pads in Utah. The data are described thoroughly in a peer-reviewed paper: Lyman S., Tran, T., Mansfield, M. Ravikumar, A., 2019. Aerial and Ground-Based Optical Gas Imaging Survey of Uinta Basin Oil and Gas Wells. Under review for publication in Elementa. ExampleGroundVideo.mp4 is a video created with an optical gas imaging camera of an emission plume from well pad equipment. The video was collected from the ground. During the video, the camera is operated in auto mode and high-sensitivity mode. ExampleAerialVideo.wmv is a video created with an optical gas imaging camera of an emission plume from well pad equipment. The video was collected from a helicopter. The video shows a leak from the same well pad as ExampleGroundVideo.mp4, but the videos were not collected at the same time. The videos named Aerial_DATE_propane.wmv were collected with an optical gas imaging camera deployed from a helicopter. The emission plumes shown were created by releasing a known quantity of propane from a stainless steel tube. The videos named Ground_DATE_propane.mp4 were collected with an optical gas imaging camera deployed on the ground. The emission plumes shown were created by releasing a known quantity of propane from a stainless steel tube. These videos were collected at the same time as the aerial videos with the same dates.
