The creation of this exhibit began when Utah State University students partnered with University of Wyoming students to visit the historic Triangle X Ranch as part of a Library of Congress Field School for Cultural Documentation. In this exhibit, you will learn about the tradition of dude ranching in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; the history and current operations of the Triangle X Ranch; and the themes that emerged from the field school's documentation, including relationships with the National Park Service, horse culture at the Triangle X, and the hospitality of the Turners (the proprietors of the ranch). You will also meet members of the Turner family, Triangle X employees, and ranch guests.
