This study was undertaken in the hopes that it might add some additional information to the literature concerning the needs of children during growth by showing what foods were eaten by normal children who were growing at the expected rate. The purpose of this study was:
- To determine the food intake or normal pre-school children by an individual quantitative dietary study.
- To compare the findings of thin study with accepted standards.
- To determine amounts of food consumed and the cost of conducting an adequate noon lunch for a nursery school group.
