Abstract
It has been established that Tritrichomonas foetus is an important organism in causing abortion and infertility in cattle. The disease produced by this flagellate results in an annual loss of over one million dollars in the United States alone. The importance of the disease warrants further investigation of this organism. The investigation was undertaken in order to obtain information concerning fluctuations in size of Tritrichomonas foetus, concentration of the organism in preputial samples, and the pH of the preputial fluid in which the parasite occurs; and to observe any possible relationship between these.
