Abstract
The codling moth is known as one of the important persts of apple, pear, quince, walnut and several other fruits. It occurs wherever these fruits are grown and it is a serious limiting factor in all apple growing areas. The injury is caused by the larva which tunnels into the fruit, lowering its commercial value and making the fruit susceptible to infections from fungi and bacteria.
