Abstract
A new species of Phlebotomus is named P. similis n. sp. It is closely related to P. vexator coquiIlet, differing in minor detaiIs, the most pronounced of which is the shape of the paramere. Its known distribution includes northern and southern Utah, and southern Arizona. Descriptions and iIlustrations of various life stages of the new species are given along with a detailed account of its life history.
