50 Faces of Research
As Utah State University celebrates the Year of Undergraduate Research and the 50th anniversary of undergraduate research programs, the "50 Faces of Research" initiative highlights the people who make discovery possible. This series spotlights students, faculty mentors, and alumni whose curiosity, creativity, and collaboration represent the spirit of research at USU.
Each featured researcher represents a different discipline, perspective, and pathway into inquiry — from exploring social and cultural issues to advancing scientific and environmental knowledge. Together, these stories reflect the diversity of research happening across the university and the relationships between students and mentors that make these experiences transformative.
By sharing these faces and stories, the initiative celebrates the people behind the projects and honors five decades of undergraduate research at USU, while also looking forward to the discoveries still to come.
