Abstract

Tricholosporum is a rare, tropical genus of mushrooms. The genus has some unique morphological characters that likely point to an error in its taxonomic placement. Through DNA sequencing, we tested the hypothesis that Tricholosporumbelongs in the family Tricholomataceae.
