Abstract
Following pioneering work in northern Idaho and eastern Washington by Daubenmire, 1952, 1968, and later in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Utah by Pfister et al., 1974; Steele et al., 1974, 1975; Cooper, 1975; Reed, 1969; Ream 1964; and Pfister (1972) on the subalpine fir and engelmann spruce series. This current work covers all forest land in Utah and adjacent Wyoming including that covered by Pfister.
