Abstract
Although much research has been done on the bovine coccidia little has been reported on the cytological nature of the different stages. Few descriptions of cytoplasmic structures occur in the literature. Because of the impermeability of the oocyst wall a definitive study of the nucleus in the unsporulated oocyst has not been made, nor have the nuclear changes during the two successive divisions which occur during the process of sporulation been described.
