Abstract
In their introduction to this sixth volume in the International Technology Education series published by Sense Publishers, editors Moshe Barak and Michael Hacker briefly outline their perspective on engineering and technology education and point out challenges facing the field as it attempts to move from an emphasis on specific knowledge and skills toward the development of higher order thinking skills. The volume explores four major dimensions: learning, human development, culture, and pedagogy.
