Description

The Dry Creek Experimental Watershed in the foothills adjacent to Boise, Idaho was established in 1999 to investigate mountain front hydrologic processes in a snowmeltdriven, semi-arid environment, with a specific emphasis on quantifying the geologic controls on the partitioning of hydrologic flowpaths. In this presentation I will summarize the physical, climatological, and biological properties of the watershed, the scientific questions currently being addressed, the data currently being collected, and ideas for future integrative directions.
