Abstract
In this video I'll teach you about what happens when we add amines to aldehydes and ketones. I cover the formation of imines, enamines, hydrates, ketals, and their respective mechanisms. I also discuss reductive amination, the use of protecting groups in organic synthesis, 1,4- (or "Michael") addition, and the Wittig reaction. --Dr. Mike Christiansen from Utah State University
