Abstract

The metabolites produced in liquid culture by the blue stain fungus Ophiostoma crassioaginata have been identified. 4-Ethyl-2H-pyran-2-one-6-carboxylicacid is found for the first time as a natural product. Fifteen other known compounds are reported.
