Abstract
During the early 1940's, Professor 0. C. Schuster, of the State College of Oregon, since deceased, had been studying closely the possibilities of increasing filbert crops in his state by increasing the possibility of crosspollination, either by interplanting of varieties or by some artificial means of transferring the pollen to the flowers of the variety needing pollination.
