Abstract

The alfalfa leaf-cutting bee Megachile rotundata is an efficient pollinator of alfalfa under northern California conditions. The bee must be protected from excessive heat, insecticide injury, and natural enemies. You can manage the bee to obtain earlier, more uniform set of seed crops.
