Abstract
Since its initial publication in 1976, A Course in Miracles (ACIM) has sold over two million copies in 18 languages. Its vast circulation can be largely accredited to grassroots efforts.1 This article examines the early development of this key “New Age” text and its significance in modern American spirituality and religion.
