At the Atmospheric Imaging Laboratory, we examine image data in order to learn more about the atmosphere surrounding our planet. Some of the subjects researched using this data include not only the different layers of Earth’s atmosphere but also space weather, climate, rotational temperature, gravity waves, the effects of seasonal changes, how the atmosphere differs depending on global location, etc. Through the research completed at the Atmospheric Imaging Laboratory, we can gain a greater understanding of the relationships between our atmosphere, the planet, and outer space.
