Object Story

Jack Rau was shot down over Croatia. Participant grew up not knowing much about his father as he was only 2 when his father was killed. He wrote a historical account and visited Brod, Croatia where the crash occurred. The participant's father's death had a lasting impact for his family, particularly on his mother, which he tells in his writing of the history "Black Cloud of Metal: Jack Rau and the 450th."
