Object Story

In 2017, the WWI helmet was gifted to the participant. Originally located in New York, it has since journeyed to Utah. It has since become a cherished symbol in conversations with friends and missionaries, serving as a steadfast reminder of the value of hard work. This meaningful gift was exchanged between two friends who served their mission in New York State and shared a mutual passion for history, particularly the First World War. Discovered in the loft of a barn during an estate sale near Watertown, its origins add an extra layer of intrigue to its already storied past.
