Abstract
This brochure is the third in a series of borchures on groundwater heat pumps, prepared at Utah State University. The first brochure describes the principles of operation of groundwater heat pumps, and the second one deals with equipment selection procedures. This third borchure describes the temperature changes in the aquifer due to the injected water from groundwater heat pumps. The relationship of temperature changes to the spacing of the production and the injection wells and the density of heat pumps in an area also are considered.
