I think job descriptions are an important part of managing a dairy. They make it easier for everyone to know exactly what is expected since it is easier to divide up jobs and makes advertising for new replacements much quicker. Most dairy farmers donï¿½t want to deal with the paperwork involved in this process or are not sure where to begin. Now there is an easy, painless way to put together a job description. The Dairy Alliance group at Penn State University has created a web site that allows you to type in contact information about your farm, the job requirements, benefits, etc., push a button and print out a copy of a job description.
