Raw data obtained from the Madrigal web site cedar.openmadrigal.org has been recast into a format of dial grids in geo-magnetic coordinates.

Viewing Instructions

Standard TEC units (tecu). Symbol for missing data: -1234 The TEC map files are organized in zipped folders by year and day of year for downloading, where madrigal-tec-map-YYYY-DDD-DDD.zip are the 4-digit year and 3 digit day of year. Within each zipped folder, the naming convention follows, adding HHMM to capture universal time in hours, minutes. Raw data from Madrigal is zipped into files format tec-map-madrigal-NH-c-md3-YYYY where YYYY is the 4 digit year. Each of these zipped files contains additional zipped files. These are binary files. See the README for further explanation.
