Abstract
Mechanical strength properties and dimensional stability of composite wood products are determined to some extent by the environment within the mat during pressing. The objectives of this study were to define time-related temperature and vapor-pressure parameters occurring in a mat during different steam injection pressing (SIP) schedules and to relate these conditions to board properties.
