Abstract
Hymatoxin A, a major phytotoxin was isolated from a culture broth of the pathogenic fungus Hypoxylon mammatum responsible of the canker formation in aspen. The structure of this unusual diterpene sulfate was determined by interpretation of spectral data (1H and 13C NMR) included the use of INADEQUATE to trace the connectivities of the carbon network.
Structure eludiction by using MS, 1H and 13C NMR.
