Abstract
Comparison of the relationship between whole tree weight, height, and d.b.h., with values for individual trees as the sample units, confirms the empirical observation that a weight table for a species may be applicable over wide geographic areas. The comparisons were made for Maine, New York, and West Virginia. The hypothesis that useful regional weight tables could be developed is recommended for testing.
