Abstract
Shoulder-mounted mist blowers have been used to apply high concentration, low-volume applications of herbicide to control hardwoods in mixed strands since 1958. They have been employed also to regulate vegetation on power and pipe-line rights of way, to keep the shore-lines of reservoirs clear of brush, to control Japanese honeysuckle and kudzu on problem areas in the South and to apply insecticides to young pine strands subject to attack by the white pine weevil.
