Abstract
Cucurbitaria staphula Dearness was first reported in 1926 in the Sixth Annual Report of the Prevalence of Plant Diseases in Canada (McCurry and Hicks 1926, p. 32) as a fungus associated with a limb gall on Populus balsamifera L. at Buchanan, Saskatchewan.
