Abstract
Trembling aspen is a common week in Maine's lowbush blueberry fields. The practice of pruning and fertilization foster sucker development and contribute to their spread. Several herbicides, including dicamba, fosamine, glyphosate, 2,4-D, 2,4-D + dicamba, and 2,4-D in oil were selectively applied to aspen. Glyphosate, fosamine and dicamba treatment produced a significant linear decline in aspen plant stand, glyphosate provided the most effective control of aspen but injury to blueberry plant stand also occurred.
