Abstract
Vegetation characterized by ponderosa pine, Pinus ponderosa Laws, and Rocky Mountain juniper, Juniperus scopulorum Sarg., occurs extensively on rough uplands along the Missouri and Yellowstone river drainages and throughout central and eastern Montana.
