Abstract

Species with collar, collar and scutellum or scutellum only, yellow or brownish yellow; tail white, pinkish or tawny but not red; first and/or second abdominal segment usually yellow or brownish yellow; head short (see Part IV for similarly coloured species with elongate heads-cf. figs. 24a and b); females without spine on basitarsus of mid leg (see fig. 25, Part IV); males with relatively short antennae. These characters not appearing together in other species of Bombus.
