Abstract
One of the characters showing a large degree of variation in the genu Paratiphia is the outline of the projection jutting from the anterior part of the side of the pronotum. In the three new species described below this projection is conspicuously enlarged in the males to a greater degree than in any other species known to the author. In two of these species, females have been collected which have similar pronotal projections, but in that sex they are less conspicuous than in the males with which they have been associated.
