Abstract
Although there are many wasps of the genus Cerceris there have been few behavioural studies of members of this group (see reviews by Scullen & Wold, 1969; Evans, 1971). Here I report observations of Cerceris simplex macrosticta Viereck & Cockerell nesting in southeastern Arizona as well as notes on the behaviour of C. femurrubrum Viereck & Cockerell and C. morata Cresson. Although Lin (1967) has described some aspects of the behaviour of C. s . graphica I am able to provide quite a number of additional details not previously reported for this species.
