Abstract

This paper deals with the Euro-Asian species of the subgenus Vespula (excluding V. squamosa and V. sulphurea) of the genus Vespula, or the V. rufa group. V. nursei sp. nov. and V. kingdonwardi sp. nov. are described. Keys are given to Euro-Asian species of Vespula s. str. and subspecies of V. rufa including V. rufa grahami ssp. nov.
