Abstract
Pauly ( 1984a) has recently named an African halictid as Paradialictus synavei, based on a single female specimen from Zaire. Because of the lack of a pollen-carrying scopa, we believe he was correct in assuming that this species is parasitic, although no behavioral data exist for it.
