Abstract
Insect visitors of mustard bloom, their number and foraging behaviour were observed at Solan under mid-hill conditions at 1500 masl. In all, 7 species, viz., Apis cerana indica Fab., Ceratina hieroglyphica Smith, Andrena reticulata Cameron, Xylocopa sp., Lasioglossum sp., Eristalis polymacharus Linn. and E. tenax Linn., were collected on mustard bloom. Honey bees and dipteran flies were predominant and they worked for longer hours throughout the flowering season.
