Abstract
Interest towards insect pollination of crops has a long history but most research has been done during the past two decades or so and also most studies have been published in the same period. Results of world research were reviewed by FREE (1970) in his famous reference book “Insect pollination of crops”. However, results of work in Hungary are scarcely included because most relevant papers have been published after the book had appeared.
