Fragments of shrapnel from the Vietnam War era, specifically from the Tet Offensive, were discovered at the Phu Bai base, where they were recovered between 1968 and 1969. Situated approximately 10 miles from the DMZ (demilitarized zone), the Phu Bai base holds historical significance in the context of the war's geography.
