Description
A shadow box was assembled between 1995-96 after the participant's mother's death. It contains the flag that was placed on the participant's father's coffin. Also contains Airforce Accommodation, Purple Heart, and Airforce Cross metals. Made of metal and textile, in good, functional condition. Handmade by Rich Etchberger between 1995-96. Object Story
The contents of the shadow box were inherited by the participant in 1995. The shadow box represents what he remembers of the history of his father and his service during the Vietnam War at the Lima Site 85 in Northeast Laos. It contains his father's flag from April 1968, and medals from December 1968.
