Object Story
The participant inherited the dress in 1986 while living in Ohio. The silk was bought in Vietnam in 1968 and sewed into a dress in America. It currently resides in Utah and reminds the participant of a challenging childhood. She has memories of people in her town placing "baby killer" signs on her front lawn while her father was deployed and her mother was pregnant.
