Campus Camera is a collection of Super 8mm film that was recorded by a student group at Utah State University. Starting in 1966, Campus Camera students filmed various skits and events to be showcased each week in the Union Building. Initially known as USU Newsreel or Campus Newsreel, the group received funding from the USU Public Relations Committee. Membership did not require prior experience, as they regularly advertised for individuals interested in camera work, film production, and script writing. From 1967 to 1971, these students documented a wide array of events, including sporting events, interviews, speeches, antiwar movements, social issues, administrative meetings, concerts, and other school events. The reasons behind the eventual dissolution of Campus Camera remain unclear.
