Abstract
Carbon County, UT has commissioned Jones & DeMille Engineering (JDE) to design and construct a reservoir at the mouth of Garley Canyon. To attract people from around Utah to visit Garley Reservoir, JDE has partnered with Trail Blazing Development Engineering (TBD) to design an outdoor recreation area. To accommodate diversity, plans for the recreational area included a road connecting a day-use area, a traditional campground, and an RV campground. Amenities considered included access to clean drinking water, pavilions in the day-use area, and restroom facilities. TBD Engineering analyzed alternative options and designed the recreational area with the best combination of features. TBD Engineering provided plans and details for many aspects of the recreational area.
