At the Center for Integrated Biosystems (CIB), we conduct biotechnology research for agriculture, the environment, and the life sciences. The CIB provides three key services in biotechnology: research, a state-of-the-art lab facility, and training/student education. We research cloning, reproductive immunology, world health, the microbial community in the Great Salt Lake, and much more at our lab, which contains resources and equipment for genomics, genotyping, proteomics, flow cytometry, and bioprocessing. We also offer tours to high school students at our facility and we produce seminars for those seeking to advance their education in biotechnology. At the Center for Integrated Biosystems, we seek to both learn and teach about the field of biotechnology and its importance for people, communities, and the world.
