Abstract

This article summarizes the papers in this issue of AJSLP thatreport the results of Phase I and Phase II clinical trials ofFast ForWord (FFW). Our primary purpose is to integrate thefindings of these studies as they relate to the implicationsfor future Phase III clinical trial studies. We discuss thereplication of earlier findings by independent researchers,the uniqueness of FFW, new findings from FFW with respect toliteracy and intervention settings, and finally, the underlyingtheoretical framework of FFW.
